Demanding impeachment of the President is the same as asking Tyachiv deputies to vote for the accession of Transcarpathia to Paraguay – the head of the Tyachiv District State Administration

The situation in Tyachiv is being actively discussed online. The activists demanded to convene an extraordinary session of the district council and vote for the resignation of the President Petro Poroshenko.

They threatened deputies with radical actions if their demands are not satisfied.
 Today, the chairman of the Tyachiv district council came to the protesters and explained that local self-government bodies operate clearly within the limits of the powers granted to them by the legislation. 
 The procedure for the impeachment of the President is set out in Art. 111 of the Constitution of Ukraine and is initiated by a majority of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. 
 Neither Tyachiv, nor any other local council can consider impeachment issues, it is the same as asking Tyachiv deputies to vote for the accession of Transcarpathia to Paraguay.
