COVID-19: the situation as of August 27 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia, Ukraine

As of the morning of August 27, 1256 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

17 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in Uzhgorod.

639 people have recovered  

18 persons have died.
  
40 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 559 are on outpatient treatment.

In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have collected 158 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction test. 

In Transcarpathia, during the past day, 1176 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

82 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 11 of them are medical workers, and 4 are children.

For the past 24hrs, 3 deaths among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 252 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died. 

3125 patients have recovered.  

Overall, as of 9:00 am on August 15, 2020, 7225 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 843 are health care workers and 387 are children.

In Ukraine, 1974 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours

49 people with confirmed diagnosis have died. This is evidenced by the latest data published on the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

In total, during the entire period of the epidemic in Ukraine, according to the National Security and Defense Council, 112059 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed. 54217 people have recovered, 2403 people have died.

Most new cases were found in Kyiv city (220), Kharkiv (218), Lviv (203), Odesa (185), Ivano-Frankivsk (164), Chernivtsi (159) and Ternopil (141) regions.
