The Transcarpathian Regional Council appealed to the Ukrzaliznytsya with the demand to establish proper railroad communication.
The existing railroad communication of Transcarpathia with the rest of Ukraine, as well as within the region, does not meet the needs of local residents, guests of the region, and also impedes the development of the tourism industry and the economy as a whole. We analyzed this problem and the threats that it causes HERE.
And tourism experts prepared proposals to the monopolist
This analysis was used by the deputies in their appeal.
At the regular plenary meeting of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, the deputies supported the proposal of the budget commission, which, on the initiative of deputy Vasyl Hubal, introduced the draft appeal to the Ukrzaliznytsya.
Deputies in the appeal pointed out 7 key proposals. They also stressed that it would be advisable to form a consultative body of the region, which would include representatives of the tourism industry of Transcarpathia and the structural units of the Ukrzaliznytsya for passenger transportation.
