Almost half of the flowers planted in Uzhgorod has been stolen or destroyed

Today, employees of the company "UzhAgromix" have planted three kinds of marigolds on the green belt of the ringroad on the Druzhby Narodiv square (see photo). They also are preparing space for flower arrangements on Poshtova Square, near the monument to Taras Shevchenko on B. Khmelnytsky Square, Svoboda Avenue, in the Heroyi Maidanu park (near the SSU office). In particular, on the ringroad of B. Khmelnitsky Square, they will plant large marigolds, and inside the ring – canna, salvia, ageratum. Cannas will also be decorating the divider on Svoboda Avenue.

However, all the efforts of the workers will be in vain, if people keep destroying and stealing the flowers. Out of previously planted nearly eight hundred begonias, ageratums, petunias, pelargoniums, about 300 have been destroyed. The city officials once again ask: preserve the beauty of our Uzhgorod, don’t let destroy or steal the flowers.
