Anatoliy Filippov has probably already broken several records, as he has been the main director of the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after the Sherehiy Brothers for over thirty years. On September 3, the People’s Artist, who has worked on the Transcarpathian stage for almost half a century, has turned 85 years old!
And the venerable anniversary celebrant is not going to rest, and is still full of energy and creative plans. Every year, his new plays are produced in the theater, and several generations of actors have already played in them.
For almost half a century, hundreds of roles have been played and dozens of performances have been produced and have become the history of the theater. The latest works of the director are the play "My Thoughts" about the fate of the national genius Taras Shevchenko, the premiere of which took place just before the quarantine, and the renewal of the sparkling comedy by English playwright B. Thomas "Charley’s Aunt!"

And this weekend the Transcarpathian Drama Theater invites you to the auditorium again. On Saturday, September 12, and on Tuesday, September 15, at 6.30 pm, the performance "High School Student" based on the play by A. Ivanov will be presented on the Small Stage. On Sunday, September 13, at 12.00, the theater will show the children’s fairy tale "Birthday of Leopold the Cat" by A. Hait, and at 18.00 – the musical comedy "Charley’s Aunt!" by B. Thomas.
