8 families moved from the Crimea to Transcarpathia due to the difficult situation on the peninsula

On Thursday, April 3, there was a press conference on the resettlement of residents of the Crimea and the city of Sevastopol to Transcarpathian region.
According to Victor Lukecha – the deputy head of the regional headquarters for accomodation of families, who arrive to the region from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city, the headquarters has been operating in the region since March 3. The director of the headquaters if the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko.
For coordination, provision and collection of information, appeals of the citizens, there is hotline at (0312) 61-22-20.

As of today, 34 residents of the Crimea, which is 8 families, have arrived to Transcarpathia, not wanting to stay in the Crimea.
– Today 1,800,000 UAH is provided in the region to meet the needs of the people who come to Transcarpathia from the Southern Ukraine. Initially it was assumed that the program will be used to support military families, and now we work with the civilian population too – Viktor Lukecha said. – Today, we are creating district and city headquaters throughout the region, our task is to collect maximum information on how many Transcarpathians are ready to take Crimeans, on the facilities that we can use. Of course, we are collecting and processing all the information that we receive by the hotline from people who want to come to our region.
 We are working on employment of Crimeans, enrolling children in schools.
Transcarpathian organization of the Red Cross also supports residents of the Crimea. According to the head of the regional Red Cross organization Ivanna Szabo, Transcarpathians can help financially, bring things, products for Crimeans who have moved to the region. 
In general, at the press conference, they stressed on the need for cooperation between all public and voluntary organizations, headquarters for maximum assistance to residents of Crimea, who want to live in Transcarpathian region.
