Although it was announced in advance that today, May 7, in Uzhgorod airport (2nd floor of the terminal) there will be the opening of an exhibition of models of tanks, planes, helicopters, military and civilian vehicles, but its organizers advise to come on May 8 or May 9 from 9.00 to 19.00.
Because by that time, the organizational arrangements will be taking place. This was informed in a telephone conversation by one of the organizers of the event, the head of the historic and technical modelling club in Uzhhorod school №8 Roman Sytko. The exhibition will run until May 11 and is timed to the Day of Victory over Nazism and the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation.
According to Roman Sytko, they plan to exhibit 300 models of tanks, planes, helicopters. Although it is possible that there will be more, everything will depend on how many exhibits will be brought by the participants. By the way, among them, there are Mr. Sytko’s students, representatives of Transcarpathian regional center of scientific and technical creativity of students, modelling enthusiasts from the region.
Recall that the exhibition is traditional and for several years in a row has been held in early May. For example, in 2013, over four hundred planes were exhibited at the event. The number of tanks, self-propelled anti-tank units was 190. On average, a disassembled model can cost up to one hundred hryvnia. However, after it is assembled, its price can reach one thousand. But only if the model is custom made.
