One of Uzhgorod schools is already in the future

In the secondary school number 6 of Uzhgorod, within the national project "Open World", there was an open lesson on the occasion of the successful implementation of the first phase of the project and the completion of full supply of modern equipment to 54 schools in Ukraine.

The educational project that aims to give students and teachers free access to the educational resources of the country and the world,  started with Transcarpathian region. A total of 54 schools in Ukraine join the national project on the first phase.In addition to the school in the regional center, another school in Transcarpathia – in the mountain village of Nyzhni Vorota in Volovets district – is included in the program.

 During the open lesson, students, government officials and journalists tested the latest educational technology: interactive whiteboards, digital labs, tablets and netbooks. During the combined physics and ecology lesson, "Man and Energy: Stirling engine", they demonstrated the effectiveness of technical solutions for the first phase of the national project "Open World".

In the second phase of the project they plan to involve 2000 schools in Ukraine and conduct lessons in 12 main subjects using the capabilities of the project.

   

Interactive lessons will take place in seventh grades of identified schools for two weeks during practice.

Note: The first phase of the national project "Open World" is set in 54 schools in all regions of Ukraine and provides for the introduction of the following new technologies: multimedia systems (interactive whiteboards and projectors), teacher’s computer, student’s devices (tablets and netbooks), laboratory systems and the provision of broadband access to the Internet.

National project "Open World" is aimed at modernizing the education system of Ukraine, forming a class of highly skilled and technologically advanced professionals and enhancing the country’s competitiveness. Its mission is to modernize the national education system, to overcome educational inequality and to ensure access to quality education for each student, regardless of his or her location.
