“Wings” by a young Khust resident Ivanna Sabadosh impressed all of Ukraine

Invitation to Kyiv for the final stage of the All-Ukrainian festival of children’s poetry was a surprise for a schoolgirl from a small town on the Tisa River. The fact that she writes poetry until recently was known only to her family members.  The student of Khust school number 6 and the pupil of author children’s art school Laszlo Hajdú was rather considered as a young talanted painter. Last year she won two awards at local and regional level in the "Know and love your native land" competition. So Ivanna regarded her first poetic attempts to show herself to the entire country through educational portal "PedPresa" as a game.

 But her poem "Wings" was selected from among hundreds of works of other students and put on internet voting. As it turned out, the little girl was supported not only by family and friends, but by all employees of the publishing house. "Everyone had their favorites, but all were impressed by the poem "Wings" by Ivanna Sabadosh. It is this poetic work that received most of user comments – 122. Therefore they included Ivanna in a special nomination – "Choice of educational portal PedPRESA." – informed the online resource.

Moreover, Ivanna Sabadosh was named the revelation of the contest. She attracted interest of the Writers’ Union, and they even plan to publish a collection of poems by the Khust schoolgirl. Interestingly, the girl’s poem are translated in English and read abroad. Like all artists, Ivanna has her own story of poetic gift awakening. Her "Wings" she wrote after having been hit by a car.

So the pupil of the Khust special school number 6 was named the best young poet of Ukraine …
