The area near the architectural monument of national importance “XVIII century granary and wine cellar”, located on the Rakoczy street in the regional center of Transcarpathia, is being improved at the expense of patrons.
After the overhaul, Mukachivska though looks much better, but still has not become a normal street. Let’s start with the positive. For drivers, it has certainly much improved – now it is a smooth lane, which one can drive quite safely, without fear of smashing the car into holes.

Today, September 19, during a meeting of the executive committee of Uzhgorod City Council much debate was caused by the draft resolution “On renewal, granting and prolongation of permits for outdoor advertising.”
At today’s meeting, the Executive Committee decided to forcefully dismantle 15 most glaring signs in downtown. These advertising structures do not comply with the Rules for installation of signboards in Uzhgorod and have repeatedly been the cause for criticism of the city government about the non-fulfillment of the approved standards.
In the regional center street lighting is something original: in the evening it is pitch-dark, but in the day it shines brightly. Is it just a negligence, or is there some serious reasons?
Today, September 19, the regular meeting of the executive committee of Uzhgorod City Council was held. First of all the participants were informed about the preparation of municipal economy for the heating season.

As uzhgorod.in reported, the renovated Mukachivska street in Uzhgorod is opened for traffic. But for now the long-awaited and long lasting repairs is only half completed. Only the roadbed has been reconstructed, while the sidewalks have not yet been repaired.
Yesterday the long-awaited repairs on the Shvabska street in Uzhgorod was finally launched. The repairs resumed (after the work performed by “Vodokanal”) 6 days later than Mayor Victor Pogorelov promised. However, when promising to continue the reconstruction on September 6, Pogorelov mentioned that that date will be valid only if all the participants meet their work commitments. Obviously the ideal scenario did not happen.
