A banner depicting Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in a Soviet military uniform with the word “Traitor” was hung in the city of Košice

In the Slovak city of Košice, a banner showing Prime Minister Robert Fico dressed as a soldier of the Soviet Red Army appeared overnight from Monday to Tuesday on a bridge at the city’s exit. Below the image was the word “Traitor.”

The banner was placed at the intersection of Moskovská Street and Czechoslovak Resistance Street. The bridge overlooks heavy traffic, connecting a large residential area with over 25,000 inhabitants to the western part of the city.

An anonymous source sent photos of the banner to the Korzár editorial office, adding a comment: “In Košice, on the bridge at Czechoslovak Resistance Street above Moskovská Street, hangs a collaborator. And why there? Because Czechoslovak Resistance will always stand above Moscow.”

The appearance of the banner in Košice came just days after Slovak PM Fico’s visit to Moscow, where he held talks with Vladimir Putin during the 80th anniversary commemorations of the end of World War II in Europe.
