“Phantoms” of Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

Probably each of us at least once a week notices terrible unfinifhed or outright abandoned buildings on the streets of Uzhgorod. Some of them were once started and then, for some reason, the projects were discontinued. Others just came in disrepair due to lack of maintenance and not being used as intended. Those will be discussed in this piece. Interestingly, many of the abandoned unfinished buildings apparently are owned by the same group of persons who in different ways took them away from the community or the former owners. However, unfortunately, the “recipients” can not boast the quality of management.

This was announced by the Transcarpathian Regional Council Chairman Volodymyr Chubirko on his page on Facebook: “The region received the subvention from the state budget in the amount of 48 million hryvnias. The funds will be used for education sector. On Monday, educators will start receiving advances.”

300 defenders have applied for land

The city authorities have received from participants of the ATO more than 300 applications for allocation of land in Uzhgorod. This, in particular, was discussed at the regular meeting of the Commission for determination of need in the land and the manner of its provision to combatants in the ATO area and families of fallen soldiers, the newspaper Uzhgorod informs.
