March 23, in Lutsk there was the Kyokushin Karate Championship of Ukraine. Sportsmen of Kyokushin-kan karate federation of Transcarpathia were also invited to this tournament.
The Chairman of the Federation Igor Kapura formed a team of seven people. Those were experienced Babila Cristina, Borkolesh Stepan, Shimon Adam and the boys who just start to compete at such competitions – Pekhnyo Andriy, Dzyamka Maxim, Kotubey Yuri, Myshanych Vlad.
In total, the tournament was attended by 180 athletes from 13 regions. Also the team from Belarus arrived.
Athletes of the Mukachevo sports club "Triumph" won three prizes. Christina Babila and Adam Shimon won silver medals, and Andriy Pekhnyo – a bronze medal.
On arrival in Mukachevo, the athletes will begin to prepare for the next – International – tournament.
