Deputy chief of the city police department Vyacheslav Grigoryev, informing members of the Executive Committee about the city "vigilantes", said: in Uzhgorod currently there are 5 units of public order protection, consisting of 71 members, and all of them are permanently employed for the protection of public order. Mostly, at public events, and members of groups "Senk" and "Legion" are engaged in patrolling with the police officers.
Recently, members of community groups have solved three crimes, including the recent theft of radiators.
According to the police officer, there have been no cases of the use of weapons by members of public groups (they usually carry traumatic weapons), and as the police officer said, the city police need "vigilantes" because "they really help"
