On November 8-10, Zhytomyr hosted the All-Ukrainian Taekwon-Do Union Cup attended by about 600 athletes, 37 clubs from 14 regions of Ukraine. These competitions are considered the second most important in Ukraine after the Championship.
The Transcarpathian regional center of the All-Ukrainian Taekwon-Do Union was represented by 15 young athletes of the Korolovych team from Uzhgorod. The result of the team is traditionally high: our Taekwondo fighters won 5 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze awards. The winners are:
Polina Korolovych won two first places (in two weight categories) in the sparring section, 2 place in the special technique section, and a bronze award in the formal exercises section.
Dasha Korolovych weighing 45 kg fought in the 50 kg category in the junior sparring section. But this was no obstacle for the brave Darina – she won a well-deserved gold medal.
Daria Yatsko won 3 matches in the sparring section and finished 1st.
Dmytro Bushko and Yegor Ternovenko won three fights in the sparring section. In the final match, they fought each other, and Dmytro Bushko won in a fiar fight, while Yegor took the second place.
In a very difficult, competitive category among older boys, Andriy Lushchak fought 4 matches with experienced opponents and took 2nd place.
Kristian Lizanets took 2nd place among 21 participants in the special technique section.
Mykola Bontey fought 3 matches and took 2nd place in the sparring section.
Mark and David Strychyks, Sofia and Lyubomir Mashkaras and Vladislav Shmidzen won 3rd place in the sparring section.
