Transcarpathian Folk Choir will greet dawn in Uzhgorod (announcement)

August 24, at 6 am, Uzhgorod will wake up with a prayer of priests of all faiths and the performance of the Transcarpathian Academic Folk Choir.

The event will be held on Botanichna embankment and will last for an hour.

There has never been anything like that in our region. The idea of the event "Prayer for Ukraine" came from the artistic director and the chief conductor – Honored Worker of Ukraine Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk.

As she told the correspondent of Uzhgorod in, the sunrise is predicted at 6.32, and at this time they plan to sing the anthem of Ukraine. And before that, there will be a prayer for peace, tranquility and for our Heroes.

"We chose Botanichna embankment, because there is a good acoustics and view there. We can not only be heard, but also seen from the pedestrian bridge, Ye.Fentsyk square and Pravoslavna embankment" – Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk said.

After the anthem of Ukraine, the choir will also perform folk songs.

In Ukraine, according to the initiator of the event, nobody has ever done anything like that. And they want to make such events a tradition in Transcarpathia.

By the way, the organizers invite all who want to greet the dawn with music and prayer, and volunteers to have another opportunity to raise funds for our army.
