Last weekend, there was a heavy rain in Lviv. The weather has made changes to the plans of many citizens, but failed to prevent supporters of mountain bike orienteering from conducting the next round of the Championship of Ukraine.
The pace was set by bikers from Kyiv, Transcarpathian, Lviv and Kharkiv regions, there were even guests from the UK and the Czech Republic. Athletes aged 17 to 55 years old competed in several classes. The traditional Ukrainian hospitality, unique tracks in surrounding forests, good organization of the competition every year attract an increasing number of athletes.
Transcarpathia at these competition was represented by the team of the Mukachevo SC "Tovarysh" (coaches – Nina Raschupkina and Oleksandr Tsepurdey). 18-year-old Vasyl Morozov, for the first time in his sports career, won the championship title in the adult category.
