Ivano-Frankivsk ski resort "Bukovel" is now covered with snow, like the rest of Ukraine (except Transcarpathia). That’s only contrast to the capital and other cities of the state is that nobody suffers from winter here. This once remote mountain village, Palyanyca, was in grief when spring wa too late but now it just gets the benefits.
In "Bukovel" life boils. Crowds of snowboard and ski amateurs rise on the lifts. Here also the Snowboard Cup of Ukraine is held. Another slope if full of snowboarders who came here to jump on jumping ramps and improve their tricks on the boards.
No matter how this ski resort is treated, in Ukraine there is still no better place for lovers of skiing and snowboarding.
"I have been skiing here for 5 or 6 years – says a Moldovian from Kishinev. – There is almost nothing new for me this year, but still there is no better place. Neither in Moldova, nor even in Romania, where we go skiing from time to time".
