"The simpler the tax system – the less corruption. Therefore, the proposed reform of tax legislation provides for a significant reduction – from 22 to 9 – of the number of taxes that will simplify tax administration," – the head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Igor Bilous said.
To solve these problems, the Government of Ukraine offers a comprehensive plan for changes in the tax system.
"One of the main objectives of tax reform is to eliminate the shadow economy. Therefore, the reform of the single social contribution, payroll tax and the tax on personal income is a necessity, not just a desire to change things," – Igor Bilous said.
The developed Concept of the tax system reforming was submitted for public discussion, which is still ongoing. Then, the final draft law will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The head of the State Fiscal Service Igor Bilous said: "In this difficult time, all of us and, above all, the MPs must think about the fate of our country. These laws are needed for citizens, for the whole society, because they will change our country."
