The Parliament increased the pensions for killed soldiers’ family members

The Perliament increased pensions for family members of soldiers.

239 MPs supported the bill number 4402 on Amendments to the Law "On pensions for persons discharged from military service and certain other persons" to raise the minimum pension to family members of killed soldiers.

The amendments provide that the pensions for family members of killed soldiers, avvording to the above law, "can not be below two statutory costs of living for incapacitated people."

Before the voting, the Parliament Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov said, "You will help the army if you vote for the law… Let us all support this law in the second reading and in general."

"Our front is here, in the hall. And those, who are not in the hall, are deserters, who should be treated as deserters," – the speaker said after the voting.
