The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine refused to provide a correspondent of uzhgorod.in the information about the state funding of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC investment program in 2012-2013.
The Ministry refused to provide the information citing that "the information concerning investment programs of power supply companies is confidential, therefore it cannot be disclosed or distributed." According to our own sources, in 2012 alone, the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" spent more than 100 million hryvnias on the implementation of this program.
Also, as uzhgorod.in reported, four days before the resignation – on February 18, the former "governor" of the region Oleksandr Ledyda sent a letter to the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavisky asking to allocate the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" 26.3 million hryvnias from the state budget. Ledyda asked to allocate the money for the implementation of the power company’s investment program.
The Ministry prefer not to disclose the information on what millions of investments are spent for and which companies use these funds in Transcarpathia.
