On Friday, August 22, at the regional state administration, there was a meeting of the head of the region Valeriy Lunchenko with the Minister of Human Resources of Hungary Zoltan Balogh.
First of all, Valeriy Lunchenko thanked for the support provided by Hungary in a difficult time for Ukraine:
– In this difficult time, the support of the European Union and Hungary in particular is very important for us. And we are grateful for the support of Ukraine’s aspirations to join the European Community, as well as the stance on the preservation of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. I am convinced that Hungary will remain our strategic partner.
Zoltan Balogh, in turn, said that the economic, cultural and social relations with Transcarpathia would continue developing, because there are a lot of Hungarians in the region. Also the Minister assured that further cooperation in the framework of the Eastern Partnership was important for Hungary, this project is one of the priorities for the Hungarian Government today.
