The season is over, the players are on leave, but passions are still raging.
The management of the FFU found a way to reduce the number of teams in the UPL.
According to Espresso.TV, citing the official site of the FFU, on Friday, May 30, in the House of Football, there was the regular meeting of the Football Club Certification Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine chaired by Igor Hataullin.
At the meeting, they considered the issue of compliance with the financial requirements and criteria of the Rules on Certification of the Premier League clubs "Goverla", "Karpaty" and "Volyn".
These three clubs share one common thing – money owed to players or coaches.
After representatives of the clubs had spoken at the meeting, the Committee determined the deadline to show positive trend in the reduction of existing debt – June 10. If within the period specified above, these football clubs do not show improvements in compliance with financial criteria, the Committee reserves the right to revoke the certificate of the right to participate in the competitions of the Ukrainian Premier League, in the season 2014/15.
