The biggest “catch” of alcoholic beverages in Transcarpathia

Officers of the operational department of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region confiscated the biggest batch of counterfeit vodka since the beginning of the year.

During the inspection of a minibus, officers of the Ministry of Income found 5280 bottles of vodka. There were different brands of vodka there, in particular, there were labels of such manufacturers as: "Chernihiv Distillery" PJSC, "Latona Invest" LLC, "DA-LV" LLC, "Olexandria Blih" LLC. The approximate cost of the seized beverages, that are currently in custody, is 165,000 UAH.

– All the vodka was found without documents to confirm its origin, it was manufactured illegally and bore fake excise tax stamps for alcoholic beverages. We are now actively fighting and trying to regulate the market for excisable goods. The operation "Excise – 2014" is ongoing, and I want to assure you that officers of the Ministry of Income will do everything in their power to identify and establish people involved in this and commercial establishments that ordered the counterfeit vodka. The Financial Investigation Department of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region began preliminary inquiry into this fact – the Acting Deputy Chief – the Chief of the Financial Investigation Department of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region Mykhailo Shukost emphasized.
