The director of Beregovo Tourinfocenter Yosyp Torpoi presented newly published calendar of festivals in Beregovo district for 2014, the Novyny Zakarpattya informed.
It includes 14 events planned for 2014 in the district. "This is very convinient – now everyone will know exactly when and where a certain event will occur, make a plan to visit it and put an appropriate mark in their wall calendar" – Yosyp Torpoi says.
Soon, similar calendar is planned to be published for the major festivals of a whole Transcarpathia.
When preparing the calendar, they had some difficulties, because they had to receive accurate information on the dates of the festivals from organizers. Since there have been cases, when events did not occur for various reasons.
So, this year’s calendar of festivals in Beregovo district is as follows:
January 11 – The festival of gurka and homemade sausage. Venue: the village of Astey.
January 24-25 – Competition of butchers. Venue: the village of Hecha.
February 3-9 – The week of Hungarian cuisine in Beregovo district.
March 7-9 – International Wine Festival. Venue: the city of Beregovo.
May 17 – Day of Beregovo.
June 29 – Rooster Festival. Venue: the village of Koson.
July 27 – Festival of Roses. Venue: the village of Dyida.
August 3 – Day of the Narrow Gauge. Venue: the city of Beregovo – the village of Khmilnik
August 30 – Festival of Plum Jam. Venue: the village of Hecha.
September 13 – Wine Festival. Venue: the village of Kidosh.
September 14 – Fish Festival. Venue: the village of Berehuyfalu.
September 28 – Beregovo regional festival "BEREG FEST". Venue: the city of Beregovo.
October 11 – Golden goulash. Venue: the village of Muzhiyevo.
November 9 – Saint Marton’s Day. Venue: the city of Beregovo.
