According to the official website of the State Emergencies Service, 3,400 warming stations are operating in Ukraine. Over the past day 341 persons were provided help (overall, since December 15, 2012 – 83,428 persons). To prevent deaths from hypothermia they have organized 736 social patrols, that provided help to 10 persons (overall, since December 30, 2,708 persons have been provided aid).
According to the service, during March 16, on the difficult road sections in Volyn, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions, 878 members of personnel and 238 vehicles were engaged in the evacuation of vehicles and provision help to people, 37 warming stations were deployed. In the above mentiond regions they freed from snow drifts and towed 1,231 vehicles, provided help to 2391 citizens (in Transcarpathia region – 6 citizens and 6 vehicles).
According to the Ukravtodor, the traffic on the roads of national importance is ensured.
