Uzhgorod interdistrict prosecutors keep under control the investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Art. 302 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (creating or running brothels and pimping, perpetrated for profit or by a person previously convicted of this offense, or by an organized group, – punishable by restriction of liberty for up to five years, or imprisonment for the same term) – Uzhgorod interdistrict prosecutor Ivan Tsar reported.
According to one of the Transcarpathian Internet sites, it was preceded by the verification of the information that employees of a local hotel and restaurant complex were engaged in pimping for profit.
That same day, officers of Uzhgorod District Police Department eneterd the information about this fact into the Unified registry of pre-trial investigations and started preliminary investigation.
