The official results of elections of deputies to the Transcarpathian Regional Council in Mukachevo have become known. The nominee of the United Center gained the victory with 4413 votes.
His rival – the candidate of the Party of Regions Ivan Chubarko – received 4125 votes.
The victory of Andriy Baloha became apparent after the announcement of the results from the last of 14 poll stations – № 15010: the votes were divided between the "first" and the "second" candidates as follows – 712 and 190 respectively.
However, the city election commission members had a discussion about the recognition of the voting in this district. Thus, four members of the PEC, including the secretary, did not sign the protocol on voting results. Also, some members of the city election commission assumed that four other signatures could be forged. However, they provided no evidence of this.
As a result, 9 out of 12 members of the city election commission voted for the adoption of the protocol, 3 – voted against.
Now the Mukachevo Commission shall submit the results of voting to the Transcarpathian territorial election commission. Then, they should officially announce the winner.
