March is a record month in Uzhgorod: every 3-4 days a car burns down

This is the fifth case in 18 days of March. Overall, since the beginning of the year in Transcarpathia, fire has destroyed and damaged 26 vehicles. This time, a car "Ford Scorpio", which was parked on the Lehotsky street in Uzhgorod, was burning.

The call about the fire was received by the Operational Rescue Service on March 18 at 06:03. Within minutes, local firefighters arrived at the scene and saved from fire a car "Dodge Ram Van", which was parked nearby.

Unfortunately, fire fighters could not save the Ford (the fire destroyed engine compartment and interior). At the time of their arrival, flames had completely engulfed the car.

The amount of loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
