The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, deputy Valeriy Lunchenko, on June 12 approved the regional action plan for organizing the discussion of the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on decentralization of the state power. By the same order, they formed in the region the organizational committee for the discussion of the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on decentralization of state power and a working group to study propositions that will come during the discussion.
By his order, the "Governor" tasked to conduct training seminars for heads of local organizational committees of the discussion of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine to decentralize state power and to ensure the creation of special section on websites of regional and district administrations on the discusssion of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on decentralization of state power and continually post information about the progress of the discussion and other analytical and presentation materials.
The First Deputy Governor Andriy Serbaylo was appointed as the chairman of the organizing committee. The committee includes no members of local councils and no town or village heads. The exception was made for a member of the Party of Regions, Nevytsky village head Mykhailo Laba.
