Lunchenko asked Yatsenuk for 150 million for dams

150 million hryvnias were supposed to be allocated this year for the construction of dams in Transcarpathian region, but the money was never transferred from Kyiv. The money was planned to be allocated to the State Water Resources Agency pursuant to the approved concept of integrated flood protection of the Tisa river basin in 2014. Moreover, the executive and local authorities of the region have repeatedly appealed to the central government that the region do not receive money for flood protection. In addition, the region owns nearly 22 million hryvnias to construction companies that were building dams. Including nearly 10 million of debts for works performed back in 2012.

Recently the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, deputy Valeriy Lunchenko appealed to the Prime Minister Yatsenyuk to give appropriate order to ministries to allocate UAH 144.9 million to implement the flood protection program in the region.
