Just as Transcarpathians began enjoying warm spring, a cyclone with cold "gifts" is again approaching the region. The Head of the meteorological forecasts department of the Transcarpathian HMC Andriy Zolotaryov told the "Zamok" what kind of weather residents of the region should expect this week.
On Friday, March 8, forecasters expect cloudy weather with clearings. Throughout the region sometimes it will rain, on the roads there may be ice. Southeast wind will blow – 5-10 m / s. In the lowlands, during the day the temperature will be +7 to +12 ˚ C, at night – +2 to +7 ˚ C. In the mountains there will be sleet, during the day the temperature will be -3 to +5 ˚ C.
On weekends, 9 and 10 of March, the weather will hardly change: meteorologists expect the same cloudy weather with clearings and low precipitation. In the lowlands, during the day the temperature will rise to +13 ˚ C, at night thermometers go up to +8 ˚ C. In the mountains, probably there will be sleet again. During the day the temperature will be 0 to +5 ˚ C, at night – -3 to +2 ˚ C.
But on Monday, March 11, there may be a little snow throughout the region. In the lowlands, during the day the temperature will drop from five to zero degrees, at night – to -5 ˚ C. In the mountains during the day the temperature range will be from -5 to -10 ˚ C.
In the following days, 12 and 13 of March, there will be no significant precipitations in the region. In the lowlands, at daytime the temperature will shoot up to +6 ˚ C, at night it will drop to -5 ˚ C. In mountainous terrain, during the day the temperature will be from 0 to -5 ˚ C, at night – to minus 12 ˚.
Andriy Zolotaryov predicts that it will not become warmer in Transcarpathia until March 17. "The synoptic situation has somewhat changed because of the little cyclone, which is coming to us from Europe. So the real spring, probably, will come to the region in the last ten days of the month."
