At the last session of Irshava district council, the deputies unanimously voted for the appeal, in which they highly recommend the mayor of Irshava and district village heads to take urgent measures for the renaming of streets, alleys, avenues, squares, parks, bridges and other structures of the Soviet era in the settlements of the territorial community. Before that, the district council had repeatedly appealed to village councils about renaming, but not all of them obliged.
The control over the implementation of the appeal by local councils was commissioned to the chairman of the Standing Committee on Rules, Ethics and Administrative-Territorial Structure Volodymyr Polovka.
