August 22 is the Day of remembrance of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.
On this day, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region Serhiy Sharanych, heads of security agencies, the government of Uzhgorod, police officers, citizens took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument to fallen police officers on Pravoslavna embankment in Uzhgorod.
