In Uzhgorod district, a young woman “cleaned out” a purse of her father-in-law

Officers of Uzhgorod district police arrested an 18-year-old girl who had stolen 7000 UAH form her husband’s father and tried to flee with the money to Kyiv.

Recently, a resident of Uzhgorod district reported to law enforcement officers the disappearance of the money amounting to 7000 UAH from his house. Officers of Uzhgorod District Police were sent to the victim’s place, where they inspected the scene, and then immediately began the search for the offender.

In the course of search operations, the policemen found out that this theft had been committed by the applicant daughter-in-law. The police tracked down the 18-year-old thief at the train station, where she tried to leave the city for Kyiv. But fortunately, the police responded in time and did not let the offender to avoid criminal liability.

Now, according to the investigator of Uzhgorod District Police Oleksandr Stebelsky, the thief was notified of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft). The young thief will have to answer not only to the family but also to the law.
