Families of the soldiers killed in the ATO will receive accommodation

The Government has allocated 23,617.36 thousand hryvnias for acquisition of housing for families of the servicemen who have died in the antiterrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. This is stated in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №729-r dated August 13, published on the website of the government. 

Thus, the Cabinet ordered the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Border Guard Service, the Security Service, the Intelligence Department of the MOD in two weeks to provide the key spending units the lists of the victims’ family members, who are elligible to housing and who are registered as citizens in need of better housing conditions.

Under this document, the funds to provide housing for families of fallen military servicemen and commanders, who directly participated in the ATO, law enforcement at the state border, repelling armed attacks on facilities protected by soldiers and releasing those facilities in case of capturing thereof or attempted forcible seizure of weapons, combat and other equipment, will be allocated from the contingency fund of the state budget.

The funds will be distributed between regional state administrations as key spending units. These expenditures shall be made by the Ministry of Finance from the contingency fund of the state budget. Spending units shall report on the use of funds by December 1, 2014.
