Serhiy Sharanych is still only the acting chief of the Transcarpathian regional police. This is stated at the official site of the office, and this was emphasized by the representative of the Right Sector of Transcarpathia Volodymyr Glasner, who urges to "calm down" and probably refers to the media which spread the information about the appointment of Sharanych as the chief of the Transcarpathian police permanently.
Recall that Serhiy Sharanych received a negative opinion of the Public lustration committee of Transcarpahia, and during the open competition announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, he just did not show up at the public hearing. Thus, the community supported another candidate, and reported that to the Minister.
