Epidemics is only in Uzhgorod

In no district of ​​Transcarpathia epidemic thresholds of SARS and influenza are exceeded, the chief state sanitary doctor of the region Volodymyr Markovych reported to uzhgorod.in today, March 22. He said that currently, the grounds for announcing quarantine in educational establishments have been recorded only in Uzhgorod. In the regional center they recorded increase in incidence of SARS. This figure for the last week amounted to 1,066 incidents (93.0 per 10 thousand people), which is 1.4 times above the epidemic threshold – 65.2 to 10 thousand 

According to experts of the SI "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center", during the 12th calendar week of 2013, 4,605 people had flu and SARS, of which 2,921 (63.4%) are children under 17 years of age. The incidence of influenza and SARS among the region’s population is 37.4 per 10 thousand people and does not exceed the epidemic threshold (42.9).

However, because of deteriorating weather conditions, they predict the increase in the number of patient with SARS by 17.5% compared with the previous week.
