“Easterners” are promised to get helped too

As of June 18, the regional headquarters for accommodation of military families arriving to Transcarpathian region from Crimea and Sevastopol has registered 207 relocatees from the ARC, of ​​which 158 are civilians and 49 people are soldiers with their families. This was mentioned at the meeting at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration with heads of district state administrations, the press service informed.

All immigrants from the ARC in the region are provided with temporary shelter (there are cases of acquisition of permanent housing at immigrants’ own expense).

In recent weeks, due to deteriorating situation in the east of the country, the number of immigrants from there has increased. As of today, the regional headquarters registered 147 persons displaced from Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

The Department of Social Welfare of the RSA – the developer of the Regional Program "Care" to strengthen social protection in 2014 – drafted the amendments which provides for extention of the Program to cover other persons who would come to the region from the eastern regions of Ukraine with the possibility of providing financial assistance to citizens.  The draft of these amendments will be submitted at the next session of the regional council.
