March 3 at 14:50, the rescue service of Transcarpathia was reported about an accident. At the highway "Kyiv-Chop" near the village of Davydkovo in Mukachevo district, the driver of the truck DAF 95480 (without the trailer), moving towards Uzhgorod, lost control and drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided with VAZ 2107.
As a result, two passengers of the VAZ: a 50-year-old resident of the village of Rakoshyno in Mukachevo district and his 47-year-old wife died at the scene of the accident. Their two daughters, born in 1993 and 2001, and a 20-year-old driver of VAZ-2107 with different polytraumas were admitted to Mukachevo district hospital.
The 49-year-old truck driver, a resident of Sumy region did not seek for medical help.
At the site of the tragedy, Mukachevo rescuers using special equipment removed the bodies from the damaged vehicle.
Detailed circumstances of the case will be clarified by law enforcement authorities.
