Chips brought Transcarpathia 30 million

In 2012, foreign investors invested in the region’s economy nearly $ 60 million.

As the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Volodymyr Prikhodko noted today, March 12, in particular, 30 million hryvnias investment was attracted due to the establishment of a new venture for the production of chips in Storozhnytsya of Uzhgorod district – it is the purchase of appropriate equipment, the initial capital, etc.

Overall, for the period from 1994 to 2012 the region received 407 million hryvnias of foreign investments. By specific indicators and foreign investment growth rate, Transcarpathia currently occupies the 10th place in Ukraine.

As the Deputy Governor explained, the government wants to encourage investment in the economy of Vynogradiv, Khust and Mizhhirya districts. Because there is a large amount of necessary business resources there, that currently are underutilized.

Specifically, it refers to the negotiations to restore the airport in Mukachevo, establishment of an industrial park in Khust and in Tyachiv district and investment in Dubove helicopter association.
