Celebrating March 8: presentation of state awards (PHOTOS)

Today in Uzhgorod, the regional celebration of International Women’s Day was held. Women were congradulated by the Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloga and the head of the RSA Oleksandr Ledyda.

This year, women from all over the region gathered for the celebration in the building on Narodna square. There were educators, doctors, managers, representatives of the government. By the way, currently there are nine female deputies in the regional council. Another 175 are working actively in the city and district councils. Chop and Perechyn mayors are women.

Addressing the audience, Ivan Baloga thanked the women for a proactive stance, the desire to participate in resolving pressing issues.

The head of the RSA Oleksandr Ledyda also congradulated women. He wished them good health, family welfare, spiritual beauty.

On the occasion of the holiday, a number of the fair sex representatives have received awards and honors. For many years of hard work, personal contribution to the socio-economic development of the region, active part in social and civic life of Transcarpathia, and professionalism, the highest insignia of the Regional Council and the Regional State Administration – the medal "For the development of the region" – was presented to Olga Bizilya, Beregovo Deputy Mayor, Nadiya Kopcha, the director of the Velyki Komyaty school, Mariya Melnychenko, the doctor of the Uzhgorod ambulance station, and Lyudmila Tokar, the head of the Education Department of the Beregovo City Council.

 Diploma of the Regional Council was awarded to Vira Zhmenyak, the head of the "Lastovichka" kindergarten, Nina Zyzen, Secretary of the Kryve Village Council, Olesya Krychfalushi, the deputy director of the Veryatsya school, Anna Lupak, the Secretary of the Siltse Village Council, Olga Marinets, the deputy of Mukachevo District Council, Natalia Migalina, the head of organizational work department of the Regional Council Executive Office, Zhanna Mykytyuk, the director of the Velyatyno school, Olga Pivovarnyk, the deputy of the regional council, doctor of the Chop station hospital, Hanna Syladiy, the Secretary of Dragovo Village Council, Olga Tulyuk, the Deputy Chief of Education Department of Mukachevo DSA and Natalia Hryapina, the director Zahattya interschool plant.
