In the village of Velyatino, the driver of a "Daewoo Lanos", moving towards the village of Shayan, lost control and hit a 62-year-old cyclist, who had moved onto the main road. The man died from his injuries on the way to hospital. The results of examination revealed that the driver was sober.
On the same day in the city of Khust, on the bypass road, a resident of Vinnytsia, the driver of a car "Tavria", having lost control, hit a schoolgirl, who was crossing the road by bicycle. As a result of the accident, the girl with multiple injuries was hospitalized.
The tests for the degree of intoxication confirmed that in both cases the drivers were sober. The cars were taken to the impounbd lot of the city police.
Investigators registered these incidents in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations under Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Violation of traffic safety or transport operation rules."
