Uzhgorod authoriries continue to grant permits for outdoor advertising in the historical center.

The relevant decision was passed today, January 28, at the regular meeting of the Executive Committee – the Mukachevo.net informed.

This time, they decided to extend the permits for multiple objects of outdoor advertising on Poshtova Square, Sandor Petofi Square and Zhupanatska Street.

The permits are for 4 years.

Recall that at the last meeting, the Executive Committee of Uzhgorod, after a quite long “advertising break”, began granting permits for advertising in the city center.

Then, they passed the decision on 30 citylights.

In Uzhgorod schools and kindergartens, there will be professional guards, and the money for it will be taken from the city budget.

This was reported by the Pro Zakhid.
This decision was passed by members of Uzhgorod City Executive Committee today, January 28.
It is about the protection of children during school hours, and not school buildings. This is attributed to the general situation in the country.
Currently, professional guards will be hired only in the largest schools.
To date, school buildings have been guarded by janitors. In several schools, there are special alarm buttons.

Uzhgorod City Council plans to sell 90 objects of communal property.

Thus, the Department of Municipal Economy headed by Oleksandr Kostenchuk has prepared the corresponding draft decision.

If the deputies pass this decision, 90 different properties, including those in downtown, will be put on sale.

One of the facilities to be sold is the premises of the Transcarpathian Regional dental clinic, located near the bus station – at Zaliznychna street, 4.

As the correspondent of the Pro Zahid found out, the clinic has recently received a letter from the Acting Director of the Department Oleksandr Kostenchuk with the warning – the City Council, as the owner of the premises, plans to include the facility to the list of objects for sale.

In the letter, Kostenchuk reminds that the clinic, as the tenant, has a preferential right of purchase, and suggested to draw up documents to sell the building to them. If they do not do it, then the dentist offices will go on sale by auction.

A minor Transcarpathian was poisoned with medicine

Recently, an ambulance delivered to Vynogradiv District Hospital a minor resident of the village of Drotyntsi with a diagnosis of drug poisoning.

The investigative team found out that the 15-year-old girl had swallowed drugs at home, after which she became ill.

Representatives of top management of the “Flextronics” group local companies – the Regional Manager of the “Flextronics-Ukraine” Uri Porat, the CEO of the “Flextronics” JSC Oleksandr Veykashi, the CFO Taras Petryna – came to meet with the head of the RSA to discuss topical issues of the company.

The managers of the international company said that they appreciated the contact, because good relationship with the Transcarpathian authorities are important for them. Representatives of the “Flextronics” reported a great news – the company is in the process of transferring the business to Ukraine, which means the development of production and job creation.

Among other work issues, they discussed the issue that concerns almost all producers in Ukraine – VAT refunds. The regional managers of the “Flextronics” have big problems with that. The head of the RSA said that, by talking with his colleagues from other regions, he knew that the situation is the same in all regions and at the same time said that during the meeting at the Presidential Administration and the Government this question was also raised, and the highest state officials assured – VAT refund will begin in February. Vasyl Hubal said that he would raise the problem at the relevant organizations – appeal to the State Fiscal Service and the Cabinet of Ministers as soon as possible, so that the interests of manufacturers, powerful taxpayers would be met.

The managers invited the head of the RSA to visit the factory and informed that the top management of the “Flextronics” group of companies would soon visit the region. The head of the region said that he would be happy to talk with those who are willing to invest in the region, to develop production in Transcarpathia and to create new jobs.

Transcarpathia intensifies cooperation with Poland to build a pedestrian border crossing point Lubnia-Volosate

Intensification of the work to build a pedestrian border crossing point on the border with Poland Lubnia-Volosate became the main topic of the meeting with the Consul General of Poland in Lviv Jaroslaw Drozd, that was held on Tuesday, January 27, by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Vasyl Hubal, together with the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko.

First of all, the head of the region thanked the friendly state for the support to Ukraine in such a difficult time.

The head of the region said that expansion of cross-border cooperation is very relevant. The issue of the pedestrian crossing point Lubnia – Volosate has long been discussed, and we would like to make joint efforts and with the support of the government finally open the crossing point – Vasyl Hubal said.

The guest, in turn, stressed the importance of cooperation with our region, “Your region is, so to speak, the most “international” in Ukraine. Therefore, cross-border projects for you are especially important,” – Jaroslaw Drozd said. The diplomat agreed that the efforts to open the crossing point should be intensified, especially since the preparatory work has already been done.

Then Vasyl Hubal voiced the following proposition: to organize a business forum in order to open Transcarpathia for Polish business.

The diplomat expressed readiness to assist in the cooperation and raised the issue of the opening of the Honorary Consulate in Uzhgorod; it would also give impetus to the contacts between Poland and Ukraine and so it’s time to look for a potential candidate.

The head of the RSA and the Chairman of the Regional Council agreed with Mr. Consul to draft a roadmap of contacts and joint projects and to continue communication in a wider circle with specific programs and steps. Finally, Vasyl Hubal suggested to meet with representatives of the Polish community in the region, in particular, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Association of Polish culture in Transcarpathia.
