Attention Transcarpathians! Storm warning

According to the Transcarpathian Center for Hydrometeorology, in the afternoon, in the evening on June 30 and overnight on July 1, storms, in some places showers, hail and squally gusts of wind up to 17-22 m / s are expected in the region and in Uzhgorod in particular. In the night on July 1, heavy, sometimes very heavy rains are expected – the State Emergencies Service Office in Transcarpathian region reported.

Due to inclement weather, on July 1, rise of water levels by 0.2-1.0 meters is expected in the region’s rivers.

The warning is also relevant for Uzhgorod, the head of the Transcarpathian CHM Vasyl Manivchuk said. In the night on July 1, heavy, sometimes very heavy rain with squally gusts of wind is also possible here.

However, in the next two days rain is not expected. During the day there may be short-lasting rain, in some places – storms.

In Transcarpathia, the Security Service of Ukraine uncovered a group of people who transported illegal immigrants to the EU

Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region exposed and stopped the illegal activities of the group of people whose members established illegal conveyance of immigrants from South Asia across the state border of Ukraine to the European Union.

On June 25, in the border area in Mukachevo district, Transcarpathian region, the police officers found 6 citizens of Vietnam.

Three residents of Lviv region were planning to illegally smuggle immigrants outside border crossing point.

However, their last job failed. Law enforcers detained the offenders at the gas station in Mukachevo – the press-center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported.

A pedophile father, because of whom a boy committed suicide, was sentenced to 10 years in prison – not agreeing with the sentence, the prosecutors are preparing an appeal

Recently, Uzhgorod City and District Court passed the sentence against an Uzhgorod resident – 10 years in prison for sexually molesting his young son, which resulted in the suicide of the child.

Two years ago, 10-year-old boy jumped from the roof of a nine-storey building in Uzhgorod and died.
