In Transcarpathia, industrial production “falls”

During the past year, the decline in industrial production was recorded in Transcarpathia. During 11 months of 2013, the rate of decline was 4%, the worst figure since 2009. Compared with November 2012, the drop was 10%.

According to the head of the epidemic monitoring and sanitary protection department of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service in Transcarpathian region Victoria Dordyay, during the 2nd calendar week of 2014, 1237 people have turned to health care institutions of the region about SARS and influenza, which is 567 cases less compared to the previous week. 826 cases (66.8%) are children under 17 years. 7.4% of the total of cases (92 persons) have been hospitalized, of which 76 (82.6%) are children.

In Volovets district, a 72-year-old pensioner was killed

Last night, a 31-year-old resident of the village of Abranka in Volovets district reported to police officers that, while visiting his 72-year-old aunt in the village, he had found her on the floor in the house dead. The woman was severely beaten. The police are establishing details of the crime.

Regional authorities rent out closed orphanage in Bene (Ad)

The last issue of the Regional State Administration and Regional Council newspaper “Novyny Zakarpattya” features an advertisement of the department of communal property of the RSA on the intention to transfer the regional communal property for rent. Among others, the regional government plans to rent out the facilities of the former orphanage at Rakoczy street, 62 in the village of Bene in Beregovo district. The area of the premises is 132 square meters.

In Svalyava district, a tourist from Kyiv region was robbed

Yesterday, a tourist from Bila Tserkva of Kyiv region reported to police officers that his car had been burgled. According to the man, an unknown person, by scanning the alarm, stole from his car “Toyota Rav-4”, which was parked in the parking lot at the resort “Polyana”, a woman’s handbag, which contained 13,000 UAH and a driver’s license in the name of his wife
