Yesterday, the teacher of the Slovak school №4 Jan Pochanic presented the second part of his book of fairy-tales. The book "Šibalstvá sovy Eleonóry" now has its Ukrainian-speaking sister – "The Adventures of Eleanor the Owl". The book is illustrated with drawings of 3rd grade students of Jan Pochanic.

The teacher from Presov is also a writer, doctor of pedagogical and philosophical sciences, and has been implementing such creative teaching methods for a while.

"A year ago, I wrote the tales of Eleanor the Owl, who lived in the old lime tree near the school, – Jan Pochanic says. – Then, the tree was cut,and the owl headed off to a journey and had various adventures. And then I thought it that would be a good idea to translate this book into Ukrainian so that the students’ parents and grandparents could read it too and understand what their children learn at school. The holidays start soon, and the children will be able to show them these books."

The presentation was attended by students, their parents and a number of officials from Slovakia.

The book was translated into in Ukrainian by Tetyana Likhtey, so far 60 copies of it were printed in Lviv.
