195 displaced persons have turned to medical institutions of Transcarpathia for help

According to the Acting Director of the Transcarpathian regional center of emergency medical care Angela Baki, 1091 IDPs have arrived in the region, including 869 – from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, 222 – from the Crimea. Among those who came from the East of Ukraine, there are 133 men, 290 women, 336 children under 18 years and 11 elderly and disabled persons. Among the Crimean people, there are 67 men, 57 women, 70 children and 28 elderly and disabled persons.     

    According to the deputy head of the department for organization of health care, regional therapist Olga Chemet, services are provided to the displaced persons at their place of temporary residence.

    Currently, 195 displaced persons have turned to health care institutions of Transcarpathian region for medical care: 97 adults (62 – from Crimea, 16 – from Donetsk and 19 – from Luhansk regions) and 98 children (65 – from Crimea, 26 – from Donetsk and 7 – from Luhansk regions). All patients were examined, after which they received the necessary medical care.

14 adults and two children were hospitalized. Two patients with diabetes were provided with free insulin, two are receiving antiretroviral therapy, and three – anti-tuberculosis treatment.
