From 4 to 15 of August, according to the order of the SMS of Ukraine, employees of the migration service in Transcarpathia conducted a series of targeted prevention measures to identify foreign nationals and stateless persons illegally residing in Ukraine.
As a result of the measures taken, officers of the Main Office of the State Migration Service in the region, in collaboration with the police officers and border guards, have found 14 illegal immigrants. 8 of them were members of two organized groups.
41 foreign citizens were fined for infringements of rules of stay in Ukraine. Also, the administrative charges were brought against 21 individuals who invited foreigners and gave them shelter.
During the checks, officers of the migration service took 4 decisions on deportation of foreigners to their countries of origin (2 Georgian citizens, one – from Azerbaijan and one – from the Russian Federation), two people were barred from entering the country.
In addition, employees of local units of the regional Migration Service took decisions to shorten the period of stay in Ukraine for 3 foreign nationals, including 2 citizens of Moldova and 1 citizen of Azerbaijan.
Employees of the Main Office of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region continue to take measures to identify and record violations of immigration laws, to fight illegal migration.
