The Roma community of Uzhgorod took part in the fundraising for the needs of our Transcarpathian soldiers, who are serving in the ATO area. The campaign began on Thursday, 14 August.
It was announced by Miroslav Horvat, a member of the executive committee of Uzhgorod City Council, a Roma movement activist, a journalist on his page in Facebook.
"I am pleased that local Roma responded to this idea – everyone who wants to and can do it, cooperate with us. We walked around several "Roma" streets in Uzhgorod and gathered first donations. All people – from children to elderly men – donated for the army. We plan to complete the first phase of the fundraising campaign on the Independence Day of Ukraine. I want to thank all those who contribute to this noble cause," – Mr. Miroslav said.
The fundraising campaign continues.
